CHSE 127 - Medical Ins Billing/Coding III 3 Credit Hour(s) / 3 Billing Hour(s) The focus of this course is coding and billing for inpatient and outpatient hospital-based services. Students will be introduced to the ICD-10-CM, ICD-10-PCS, CPT, and HCPCS diagnostic and procedure codes. DRGs and their impact are discussed, as are recording charges using the UB-04 and CMS 1500 claim forms. Students will post payments, review and resubmit claims, and perform account receivable follow-up and collections
