CHSE 123 - Medical Ins Billing/Coding I

This course introduces insurance billing and diagnostic and procedure coding using the International Classification of Diseases (ICD-10-CM), Current Procedural Terminology (CPT), and National Healthcare Common Procedures Coding System (HCPCS) coding systems. The course also introduces the legal and compliance issues and their relationship to insurances.

Prerequisite(s): Minimum 2.5 in CHSE 120 or concurrently. Computer, keyboarding, and internet skills and experience required
