BIOL 204 - Microbiology Laboratory 1 Credit Hour(s) / 3 Billing Hour(s) General Education Category: MTA Natural Sciences Lab
Basic laboratory principles of microbiology for allied health students. Emphasis on microscopy, aseptic cultivation and enumeration of microorganisms, differential staining, assays of antimicrobial agents, and diagnostic laboratory techniques. Students will identify unknown bacterial species.
Semesters Offered: Fall, Spring, Summer Prerequisite(s): Minimum 2.0 in BIOL 203 or concurrently Placement Scores: Reading Level 5 and Writing Level 6 and [Math Skills Level 20 (College-Ready) or minimum 2.0 in MATH 109 or (MATH 119 concurrently or STAT 170 concurrently)]. Course Note: None
