BIOL 120 - Environmental Science 4 Credit Hour(s) / 6 Billing Hour(s) General Education Category: MTA Natural Sciences Lab
Students will develop an ecological knowledge base to allow them to understand how human actions impact the environment. They will develop applied analytical skills through laboratories, fieldwork, simulations and a discussion of contemporary issues. They will investigate and evaluate basic ecological and environmental issues.

- An online course also has some labs requiring students to physically tour a field lab facility or to do simple experiments at home.
- Not for Biology or Pre-Medical Studies Majors: BIOL 120 is not on the Pre-Medical Studies or Biology degree pathways, which means it will not count toward your major and enrolling in this course may negatively impact your financial aid. Such majors may want to consider enrolling in BIOL 127 instead of BIOL 120. Please contact your academic advisor if you have any questions.
