NURS 201 - Patient-Centered Care

NURS 201 introduces students to a model of health care in which patients and their families are acknowledged and valued for their unique attributes. Concepts of development, family dynamics, and adaptation to stress are presented.

Prerequisite(s): Minimum 2.5 in [( MATH 119 or higher or STAT 170 or STAT 215 ) or concurrently or Math Level noted below]
Placement Scores: Reading Level 5 and Writing Level 6 and Math Skills Level 20 (College-Ready)
Course Note: Students are required to attend four exams and one three-hour Communication Lab in-person on LCC’s downtown campus. Additional information will be provided via D2L by the instructor the first week of class. $23 of the course fee is non-refundable.
