An historical and analytical survey of music and its development from 1750 to the present. Emphasizes an understanding of both Western and non-western genres, styles, composers, literature and emerging world musics in relationship to historical, geographical and cultural contexts. Strengthens aural analytical skills and understanding of fundamental musical concepts.
