MUSC 240 - Musical Cultures to 1750

An historical and analytical survey of music and its development from Antiquity through 1750. Emphasizes an understanding of both Western and non-western genres, styles, composers and literature in relationship to historical, geographical and cultural contexts. Strengthens aural analytical skills and understanding of fundamental musical concepts.
