MUSC 163 - Aural Skills I

Music reading skills are required for this course. Aural Skills I allows students to develop their aural capacity through exercises in beginning melodic and rhythmic dictation. The ability to sing melodies on sight through the use of solfeggio will also be developed. This is the first of two courses in freshman aural skills.

Prerequisite(s): Minimum 2.0 in MUSC 168 or passing score on the Music Theory Placement Test
