ANTH 276 - Introduction to Archaeology

An introduction to the history, methods, and theoretical concepts of archaeology as a sub-discipline of anthropology. Archaeologists study preserved material remains, which are used to construct interpretations about the human past. Students will consider the social relevance archaeological discoveries might have on modern problems, including environmental degradation, conflict, and cultural identity.
