SURG 109 - Basic Surgical Procedures
4 Credit Hour(s) / 4 Billing Hour(s)
An introduction to basic types of surgical procedures, with a primary focus on the sequential steps. Surgical anatomy, physiology, and pathophysiology will be addressed relative to basic surgical intervention. Students will learn anatomy, physiology, pathophysiology, and diagnostic indication for the surgical procedure, and explore how to prepare and plan for the intraoperative phase of the surgical procedure.
