CHDV 215 - Infant Toddler Program Dev

This course includes field experience. Students will explore the social-emotional and physical environments needed for quality early education and care for infants and toddlers. Focus includes developing positive interactions, building relationships, developmentally appropriate activities and materials, managing routines, and observation skills.

Prerequisite(s): Minimum 2.0 in (CHDV 100 and CHDV 101 and CHDV 111)
Placement Scores: Reading Level 5 and Writing Level 6
Course Note: All students must register for 4 hours/week at an approved (by CHDV program) weekday daytime field experience site by emailing jordanh@lcc.edu. Students must pass an ICHAT criminal background check and a State of Michigan Central Registry Clearance prior to beginning field experience. Students may be required to submit proof of vaccinations, including COVID, prior to beginning field experience. Students who have not submitted required documentation by the 2nd week of the semester may be dropped from the course. In addition to regular class time, students are required to complete training online required for field experience. Information will be distributed via the course management site.
