CHSE 100 - Intro to Health Professions

This course is an overview of healthcare careers. It explores the business of healthcare, safety, and healthcare costs. It includes the introduction to concepts of leadership and management, patient teaching, communications, time management, critical thinking, and career pathways. It includes learning drug dose calculations and medical terminology.

Placement Scores: Reading Level 5 or (Reading Level 4 and ENGL 099 concurrently) and Writing Level 4
Course Note: In addition to regular class time, students are required to complete Bloodborne Pathogens and HIPAA training online. Information will be distributed via the course D2L site.
